When you are angry!

When you are angry!
When you are really, really mad at somebody, try to rationalize your next moves. Do not do anything without thinking rationally. Hold your temper, and move on to do other things that will divert your attention from the hot issue to improve your mood; so that you do not act according to your prevailing emotions. There are really people , who can annoy you, but if you decide not to be affected by them, you really can do it. Try it for yourself. Decide not to be angry, and no one can make you react to a situation, such that you become angry.

Working for the Best!

Working for the Best!
When you do some work, you do not have to be a perfectionist. You only need to be at par with what can be called an excellent job. Some situations require a rocket science type of quality job. Others, a lot less. So, there is no need to use a large hammer for a small application, nor a big stick, when all you need is a toothpick. When reading a pocket book for enjoyment, you can read faster than usual. When you need to study for mastery of certain scientific principles in physics, you need to read slower perhaps, and spend more time. You may even read the same book chapter several times. Learn therefore to save your time and energy by adjusting your efforts according to what is necessary, and relevant. Don’t overdo something that doesn’t have to be. Be a good judge therefore of what kind of effort is needed for each activity you encounter. Remember, you got plenty of things to cover as a Leader, and your best may not be the solution to a problem. But, you have to do what is best for each situation.

Listen First!

Listen first!
When a person is sick and goes to see a doctor of medicine, the doctor would observe the patients vital signs, and would ask the patient what he feels, which part of the body is painful, or when the ailment was noticed to have started. The patient would tell the doctor the answers being sought, from the view point of the patient. The doctor would then make his evaluation, and only then will he make his prescriptions and suggestions on what medicine the patient should take, the dosage and what to do and not do. Similarly, we should be like a doctor when handling our kids. When we observe and see that there seems to be something wrong with our kids, based on their actions, and changes in routines, manners and grades, we should ask them what is bothering them before we make our evaluation, conclusions that they are grounded, and prescriptions or suggestions. It is not the other way around (the reversed process). You must listen to your kids first. Pure hunch or guess work is not acceptable. Verification is important, and observations validation is necessary.

Expressing that Love you may never have said so often!

(TellmeMore)
Expressing that Love you may never have said so often!
When was the last time you told your wife that you love her? When was the last time you told your kid, and your mom, and your Dad, that you love them? If that last time was too long ago, tell them now again. It is not difficult to tell them these very same words at every opportunity you got, which can be everyday. Some people know that you love them, but telling them, is nice for them to hear, and very assuring for them. In the first place, not everyone can read your mind, and some actions can have many interpretations. When we need specificity, telling is one way of going as near as what you’ve always wanted to say.

Reality!

Reality!
While a well known book indicates the benefits of being able to recognize and give importance to our fellowmen, and many men in business are aware of this, surprisingly, many among us do just the opposite. Isn’t it tantamount to committing a sin of omission, by not exercising our capability to give importance to others? Let’s keep in mind the effects of a genuine appreciation and enable people around us bring to realization their desire to be important in the real world, instead of having them live in a world of insanity.

Parental Guidance!

(TellmeMore)
Parental Guidance!
Parental guidance to our children, never ends, even when they have reached their age of independence (legal age). We may have stopped supporting them financially, they may already be capable of making their own choices, but when it comes to emotional support, and sharing of parental experiences, or learning through life, be extra generous in playing your role as parents, and in providing parental guidance. The final decision of course is for the children at the right age to make. Parents nevertheless, should help them see the other points of view, which may not be too obvious to them, due to a difference in paradigm brought by the different influences external to the family circle and their limited experiences.

Tentative!

Tentative!
Sometimes, we see men placed in a position of privilege on a temporary basis, and yet they forget about their true role right then and there. They consider their situation as a permanent state, that would last. Well nothing in this world really lasts for all intents and purposes. All are practically tentative. It pays to remember that, and for everyone to act righteously and with all the degree of honesty, humility required of us.

Without a dream!

Without a Dream!
A man without a dream will most likely stagnate, and wander idly through life, wasting his valuable time resource and God given talents, sowing nothing during planting season, and reaping none during harvest time. Thus he stays destitute in time of plenty, when he too, could have made a brilliant mark for mankind and for himself under the sun. When you meet a man of his kind, wake him up, while there is time and it is still possible. Doing so, is an achievement in itself.

Believing!

Believing!
Compared to what we ought to be, we are only half awake, according to Professor William James of Harvard. The human individual habitually fails to use his powers of various sorts according to Dale Carnegie’s book, How to win friends and influence people. Why not invest the effort therefore to improved your current state, if that is the case? Many people , simply refuse to put the effort, because, they don’t believe in themselves either. If one doesn’t believe in himself, and what he can do, how else would others believe and put their trust on this particular kind of individual?

Criticism!

Criticism!
Criticism is futile. It does not result to the normally desired intention to change the person criticized. Instead, the object of the criticism will likely justify or rationalize his faults or blunders. Be careful therefore, when you feel like giving that criticism of yours on somebody.

Calling out and knowing how to answer!

Calling out and knowing how to Answer!
A blind man, who called out to Jesus, was asked, “What do you want me to do for you?” -Jesus asked him. “Teacher,” the blind man answered, “ I want to see again.” “Go,”Jesus told him, “your faith has made you well.” At once he was able to see and followed Jesus on the road. (Mark 10:51-52)

This very same episode can happen to you or to anyone, if only you call out to Jesus and answer Him, when asked. Are you sick? Do you have a problem? Do you need something from God? Don’t fail to call out His Name, and be ready to give your answer, when asked, what you want Him to do for you. Have Faith. Believe that you will get what you asks and you shall receive.

Take care of True Knowledge!

Take care of true knowledge!
It is good for a person to discover for himself, what he needs to know in order to grow, for he will less likely forget, what he discovered. Time, however is of essence in certain situations, and discovery may take a good amount of the temporal resource of mankind. So, where it is possible to instruct and tell someone what to do, and not have to let him rediscover, something that has already been found and known, one must share and provide those instructions and understanding, by telling him all of those things. That way, more people avoid being ignorant for a good amount of period in his life span.

The sanctity of instructions, however must be maintained, and reverence for true knowledge be considered, because a wrong instruction, can do more harm when made erroneously multiplying itself geometrically.

Trust!

Trust in Divine Power!
Let today be the first day of your life, wherein you put your trust in Divine Power, if you have never done so in the past. Many people, who wants to be always in control, never trust anyone on their life and in their activities. They believe, everything can be control-led. But, not everything can be controlled. It is not a matter of Philosophy. It is a fact that not everything can be controlled. Many times, we just have to trust in the presence of the Divine Power. Many times, we are put in a situation, wherein we are helpless, no matter what we do. So, never believe that it is possible not to trust anyone, especially in your relationship with the Supreme being, who is your maker.
